Sharon + Adam Color Block Modern Still Life (Millwick in Los Angeles Arts District)

Having Sharon as one of my brides was so special to me. Not only because she is so kind but also because she went to FIDM for Fashion Design and worked in the fashion industry. From experience I know that is very hard to get into. I to graduated from FIDM in Fashion Design years ago when we didn’t have social media. No I’m not that old. That’s a story for another day. ha ha. We totally connected when we both realized that we had gone to the same school. We met for drinks and hot dogs (vegan one for me) in Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. I remember her telling me “You can’t miss me, I am wearing Pink sneakers and a pink top”. She was right. We talked for almost two hours and also found out that she was half Central American. Which I mean… really. I was like Ok you’re my bride for sure.

When she started describing her wedding to me I got goose bumps because I can actually envision it. She is such a creative soul. She mentioned to me that Adam was working and living in Northern California and they were planning on moving there after the wedding. I finally got to meet Adam at 5am in Palos Verdes before the sun came out. They were troopers hiking down that hill and in the cold weather. I will be adding their engagement session soon. When I saw them together I could see how much they love each other. I am always so grateful for couples that let me be creative and also that trust me enough to let me get close to them with my camera to photograph something so intimate.

When their wedding came I was so pumped! I couldn’t wait to see how her color block Modern Still Life vision came out. It was PERFECTION! Her bridesmaids each wore something that represented them and a different color. It was to die for! Don’t get me started with their bouquets. Now let’s talk for a second about this amazing florist. Her name is Annie and she is the owner of Best Day Ever Floral Design. Hire her that’s all I can say.

Adam and Sharon’s day was so stress free and full of food, dancing and running around LA to catch the sunset. It was so intimate and personal. Sharon thought of everything. They even had Mariachi. This right here is true love.
